August 11th

Hey guys, what's up?! It's been a while.. Sorry!
During this period I finally realized my dream: I went to England.. And.. I have been in LONDON! Amazing.
Let's start from the beginning: it was July 06th when, in the morning, I went to the airport of Verona to fly to London. I was really, really upset! I don't have a "nice relationship" with airplanes, well.. I hate the idea to staying there, away from the land, between the clouds.. No, don't like it. So, also if it wasn't my first time and if last year too I didn't know anyone of the guys, during the trip to the airport, I cried, trying to not let me see by my parents.
Then, when I greeted my mum and dad and I began to talk with the girls next to me, the anxiety began to go away. LUCKILY!!
We arrived in London and then we took the bus to go at the college in Birmingham. As you can imagine, it has been a really stressful & tiring day. I was at the Aston University of Birmingham. My bedroom was nice and quite big, and the bathroom very small but.. Nothing of impossible. The second day I woke up with a terrible neck ache.. GOD, I love my bed!! It's so comfortable and.. the one that was there ehm.. Not really! I think that more or less the things that I missed most have been my bed and italian food. -and my friends, but that's obvious-.
We had an entrance test, in order to be dived into the different classes and levels.. I was in the Upper-intermidiate. Thinking that last year I was in the Advanced I got a little angry with myself butttttt: we had the nicest and younger teacher!! :) Birmingham is a big and fabulous city. Full of shops and to me, to say that is beautiful, it's enough the fact that is in England. I love so much the "mood" of UK. I'm talking about the climate between the people. Everyone lives his life without problems of prejudices about his look or his way of dressing. I love that!
But let's go on.. So days passed, we went at Cadbury, a chocolate factory, and on Sunday we went to London. As I said, it was my first time in London and it was one of mine biggest dream. I'm in love with this city. So big, so colorful, so full of life, so in the forefront -can you see what I mean?-, so.. London! Full of history and always streched in the future. I love it.. But I have already said that, haven't I?! ;)
The second week began, the lessons continued, we had other trips through Birmingham and hours of sport or other activities. I think it was Wednesday, when we went to Stratford Upon Avon, to visite the birthplace of Shakespeare and this little country.
In the after days, I went out of the college with some friends.. In incognito obviously!! xD Ahahaha we were all dressed in strange ways: I was a widow -with big black sunglass and a black veil on my head-; Betta was a condom -yay, a condom!! xD That's just because she was wearing a hood-; Anna was a hippy; Mary a moslem. :) It has been exciting. To walk through the streets of Birmingham, without the group-leaders, without the orrible orange backpack that we had to wear and.. Without strange looks from people for our strange look.
On Saturday we went back to London! I haven't written that the first time we visited the British Museum and the area of Oxford Circus.. Meanwhile on Saturday we went in Trafalgar Square and visited National Museum. After that, we walked towards Buckingham Palace and then Hard Rock Cafè.. A classic. The day passed, as usual I made shopping and I finally bought the most of the presents for my friends and relatives.
On Sunday we went to Liverpool and it has been a really windy day! There was a kind of "town-show". At the port, the people were all dressed like pirates and there were some cannon shots etc.. Funny! :) As you can guess, there were many shops about Beatles! Yep: Liverpool is their birthplace.. And bla bla bla. :) In the evening we had dinner in a restaurant of Birmingham and then we had some free time to spend during the night -I'm talking about 9 / 10 pm .. Not late- in the city.
So.. I had just begun my holiday in England when.. It was Monday yet. That meant that we had to pack our bags and be ready for the final evening with a talent show.
It was Tuesday, it was almost 12 am and we were in the airport of London, ready to come back. We arrived in Italy at 3:20 pm and.. it was SO warm!! I greeted all the people that I've met during these 2 weeks and I'm sure that I'll meet again some of them, someday. :)

Ok guys, that has been my incredible period in England; obviously I haven't write MANY things but.. I think that it's enough. ;)
Now I'm tired and tomorrom morning the alarm is going to ring at 07:45 am.. I'm doing my internship at the hospital.. I'll talk.. Sorry, I'll write.. you about that next time. (:

With Love,
Hayley
